Dan Hillenbrand is a second-generation home builder and real estate developer whose passion for construction runs deep. He began working for his father’s company at just 14 years old, spending his summers learning the trade from the ground up. By 17, he was working full-time as a carpenter, and at 19, he ran his first large-scale project — a 106-unit apartment complex — while also building his first personal home.

 

After earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and running a successful practice, Dan realized that his heart was still in building. In 2005, he obtained his General Contractor’s license and returned to construction full-time. Building isn’t just a profession for Dan — it’s a lifelong calling rooted in creativity, craftsmanship, and connection.

 

Today, Dan leads Modern Vision Homes alongside Stephanie Hillenbrand, President of the company and his business partner of 38 years. Stephanie’s expertise in real estate, interior design, financial planning, and project coordination perfectly complements Dan’s deep construction knowledge and vision. Together, they’ve built not only beautiful homes but a shared legacy of dedication, integrity, and innovation.
